Early the next morning, we took off on our road trip to California to GG's house. The kids were greeted with fun gifts upon arrival...

Chris and I were in Southern California for less than 24 hours, and then we left the kids and dogs with GG and went to Alaska...It was a fantastic trip both professionally (I went for a conference) and personally!
We got to see Chris' old mission companion Eddie. It was great to hang out with Eddie and his family:

The weather was amazing the whole time we were there
When we first got to the conference, they gave us the animal awareness lecture, and I literally thought that they were joking about moose and bears. They were not joking, they are everywhere!
Our glacier cruise was just great--we literally saw everything that we wanted to: a whale, glaciers calving, otters, sea lions--it was so beautiful!

The kids and Chris are back in California now, and I'm in Utah for 2 days working. I can't wait to rejoin them in California on Saturday!
