Thanksgiving Vacation

We are already relaxing and being spoiled! We are in The Woodlands, TX (right outside of Houston) visiting Chris' dad and Emilia.

First thing we did right as we walked in the door...started making empanadas!



Tiare made some all by herself! They were great, and she was proud!



What were the boys doing while the women were slaving in the kitchen?...

And what were they watching? Really, it is not that hard to guess--just look at Atticus' shirt...

It was the day of the big rivalry game of Newell's Old Boys and Rosario Central. Even when we were at the airport in Salt Lake City, the bus driver yelled out the window of the bus at Atticus, "Go Newell's".

The kids were instantly in love with the pond outside of Grandpa's and Grandma Emilia's backdoor...

Here's the beautiful white crane--he is standing on one foot just like a yoga pose! The kids have named him Galileo after the one from Nim's Island.



Here's our yummy dinner...



The next morning, the kids were up early to start on their big boat making project...

The boat's name was the Recyled MaryLou--MaryLou is their favorite Shirely Temple character. Needless to say, she had a short-lived, but fun life! And making the boat as a family was by far the best part!!
