Here's Jared unpacking everything from the roof and stuffing it into the car so it won't get stolen while we are out walking around. We parked right under the subway.

A Study in Contrasts
On the way home from the Hamptons, we went to Jackson Heights--it was a fantastic multicultural experience--replace all of the rich white people in the Hamptons with an amazingly diverse Latino and Indian population spread over just a few blocks. Authentic Peruvian food for sale on the street (yummy giant corn, I forget the name), then an Argentinian bakery. Walk on still further and the whole demographic switches to Indian--beautiful shops with very expensive traditional Indian outfits and amazing smelling food. We ate in a great Thai food place and the kids had ice cream from a typical NY ice cream truck and a slice of pizza from the corner pizza shop--America at it's best!!
